One deepthroat key connects Cline to the full text model catalog. Add credits or start an hourly plan on that key.

Auto discoverySetup
- 1Open Cline Settings and choose OpenAI Compatible.
- 2Paste the base URL and your API key from the connection fields below. Cline loads the model list automatically after these fields change.
- 3Choose a model from the Model ID dropdown. Configure Plan and Act separately if you use different models for each mode.

Reasoning controls
Set Reasoning Effort in the OpenAI Compatible settings for Plan and Act. Cline’s native controls offer None, Low, Medium, High, and XHigh; choose only a level listed for your model below. Max and Ultra are not available in Cline’s native selector.
Switch models inside your app
Change the Model ID dropdown in Settings. If the list is empty, save the key and re-enter the base URL to refresh it. Older Cline releases may require updating or pasting an ID from the included list.

Verify & troubleshoot
Send a short prompt and check Activity. If models are missing, verify the list with the same API key:

- 402: top up that key or start an hourly plan in the wallet.
- 404: refresh the model list and check the endpoint. Use https://api.cheapai.gay/v1 as the base URL.
